Billy Doran, noted dinosaur expert and the Director of Fossil Posse Prehistoric Journeys will appear at the Childrens’ Museum of Beaver Creek as part of the museum’s free “Summer Science Showcase” series for kids. Billy has been a disnosaur enthuisist for years having developed quite a collection of dinosaur fossils, replicas and cool dinosaur stories. He also has particpated on mana fossil digs around Colorado including helping out on the Denver Museum of Nature and Science’s Mammoth dig in Aspen, Colorado. So Billy knows his dinosaurs. “I have been fasinated with prehistoric times and dinosaurs since I was a little boy and I love to share what I have discovered with the next generation of dinosaur hunters,.” Said Billy.
Billy’s presentation will include information on what was going on in our area 1 million years ago, what dinosars called Colorado home and how you can search for your own fossils and prehistoric artifacts in our own backyard. There will be plenty of fossils and replicas for kids to inspect, learn about and touch.
The Fossil Posse presentation takes place at the Childrens’ Museum of Beaver Creek in Beaver Creek Resort on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 1:00pm and last about an hour. It is a free presentation for the public. The “Summer Science Showcase“ continues next Thurssday, July 30th with an appearance by the Denver Butterfly Pavilion.
